Simple Preferences

VLC definitively needs a "simple" preferences window. Here is a list of some of the settings which would be needed:

• interface settings:
  • default interface
  • one instance mode (win32 only)
  • hotkeys

• video settings:
  • output module -- Disagree. Only needs to be modified in case of problems -- User:Zorglub --> It's still one of the options which many people have to change, having it handy will be usefull -- User:Dionoea
  • overlay
  • aspect ratio (?)
  • skip frames
  • snapshot stuff (at least so that users can see that it goes to My Pictures ?
  • ffmpeg-hq ?

• audio settings:
  • output module (?) -- Disagree. Only needs to be modified in case of problems -- User:Zorglub
  • audio device

• subtitles settings:
  • default encoding
  • size
  • color
  • font

• service discovery modules -- Not needed if we are able to remember them cleanly
• some "control" interfaces (http, msn, growl ...) (?)

• HTTP proxy
• HTTP caching
