drac
This is a video codec. The name to use at the command line is drac.
VLC can encode using this codec.
This codec can be used inside the Ogg containers.
This codec is from the schroedinger module.

Dirac is a video compression codec created by the BBC, superseded by Schroedinger.

Muxing was formerly supported in VLC media player through libdirac, but libschroedinger was found to be faster for muxing.
