VLC HowTo/Set the recording folder

How do I specify the folder where the recorded files (via red rec button) will be stored?
Navigate to Tools -> Preferences -> Input&codecs and Record directory or filename.
Remember to press Save to save VLC settings and restart VLC after that to make sure changes are enabled.
