VLC can partially play video, but its playback is choppy.


If your video is choppy there are a few tips about how you can fix it:

You can close all other programs who are running in the background of VLC like anti virus, updates, etc.

You can try to turn on DMA on your DVD device.

If none of these things help you can install the latest video driver for your video board.

If you are running Linux you can install the latest XFREE 86 version.
