MMS

VLC uses this protocol (or access module) to read data from a device or network.
This protocol is handled by the mms module.

MMS is a proprietary digital media streaming protocol developed by Microsoft.

It is supported in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Server v4.0 or later.
MMSH is MMS over HTTP, MMST is MMS over TCP and MMSU is MMS over UDP.
