VLC does not render the subtitles correctly
Question marks
If you see question marks or weird characters, this means that the selected encoding is wrong.
Change it in preferences, in the OSD section.
Boxes / Squares
If you see boxes or squares, it means the selected font lacks the needed characters.
Change the font in preferences, in the OSD section.
