This page describes how to disable Recent Media of the Qt4 interface. Other "how to" pages

Go to Tools → Preferences (set Show Settings to All) and then Interface → Main interfaces → Qt. Un-tick Save the recently played items in the menu.

Remember to press Save to save VLC settings and restart VLC after that to ensure changes are enabled.

This page is part of the informal VLC Support Guide.
