VLCJ
VLCJ are Java bindings for VLC.
Those are the recommended java bindings for VLC.
It is managed as an external project at: http://code.google.com/p/vlcj/
There is an thread about it at: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=56939&start=15
Though it has its own forums for asking questions.
