Indeo Video is a video codec. Indeo is still a widely used codec, despite the release of DivX.

Compatability

Sorry, Indeo Video 4.0 and 5.0 is not supported by VLC.

VLC supports Indeo Video 1.0 - 3.0. VLC does not support Indeo Video 4.0 or 5.0 (see talk).
