Apple is a consumer electronics company. They have been around since the late 1970's. They have been known for making iPods, the iPhone and Macintosh computers.

They are the creator of the QuickTime framework, which is available for Windows and their own OS, Mac OS X. On top of this there is QuickTime Streaming Server and QuickTime Broadcaster which provide for streaming real time media.
